The issue began after reports suggested the cleric was detained shortly after hosting Obi in Kaduna.

The development gained attention amid growing political activity and public sensitivity around security actions involving public figures and religious leaders.

Umar later addressed the situation in a video, explaining that he only honoured an invitation from security officials for questioning.

He stated that he cooperated fully and was released shortly after, adding that he was safe and not harmed at any point.

He also urged calm among his supporters and advised against any action that could lead to disorder.

Umar further called for patience in matters involving Nasir El-Rufai, while encouraging citizens to remain engaged in civic duties as a way to influence leadership and national direction.
