The state chairman of the party, Hanatu Gagara, said the exercises were peaceful across the areas where they held.

She explained that the primaries did not take place in Mikang and Langtang South because party members there obtained nomination forms after the deadline had passed.

She added that the situation may still be addressed after the Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission extended the period for party primaries under the new electoral law.

According to her, the party had only just received official communication from the commission about the development.

Gagara also said the party was ready for the upcoming election, noting that many new members were joining its ranks.

She explained that registration of members was still ongoing across local government areas and urged both existing and intending members to validate their details through ward and local party offices.
