NAUTH Pauses Controversial Nursing Fee
The management of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital has suspended the implementation of the newly introduced ₦580000 tuition fee for nursing students after protests by students of the institution.
The decision followed demonstrations by nursing students who raised concerns over the sudden increase in fees and its impact on their ability to continue their studies.
Hospital authorities said the suspension was necessary to ease tensions and allow time for discussions on the issue.
The development is expected to create room for dialogue between the management and students as efforts continue to find a resolution to the dispute.
