Ganduje Case Still Open Says Kano Govt
The Kano State Government, making it clear that corruption allegations against former governor Abdullahi Ganduje are still active, despite Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s recent move to the All Progressives Congress.
The state said the political change has no effect on matters already before the courts.
The Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Ibrahim Waiya, said the accusations remain and have not been dropped by the Yusuf administration.
When the clarification was made was on Thursday during an appearance on ARISE News Channel’s Prime Time Show.
Waiya explained that the governor has chosen to stay away from the issue entirely so that the legal process can run without pressure or interference.
Where the matter stands, according to the government, is strictly within the judicial system.
Waiya said the case will be decided by the courts alone and not influenced by politics, alliances, or personal relationships.
He added that the administration is not shielding anyone or offering protection based on status or party ties.
