2027: Makinde’s Camp Lists 12 States That Will Stop Tinubu

The camp of Seyi Makinde, the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) presidential candidate, has claimed he will defeat President Bola Tinubu in several battleground states during the 2027 presidential election.

The group made the declaration in a statement issued on Saturday by its Director of Strategic Communications, Richard Ihediwa.

It argued that Tinubu’s planned visits to the states would not change what it described as growing opposition to his re-election bid, blaming public discontent on economic hardship under the President’s administration.

The states listed by the group are Rivers, Oyo, Kaduna, Plateau, Borno, Enugu, Bauchi, Sokoto, Delta, Kano, Adamawa and Lagos. It also named the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Ihediwa accused the Tinubu administration of worsening public dissatisfaction through its policies and what he described as the political arrogance of members of the President’s inner circle.

He further alleged that the government had spent trillions of naira on wasteful programmes and projects while Nigerians continued to struggle with economic difficulties.

The group challenged Tinubu to visit the states and engage directly with voters, insisting that such visits would not change their alleged determination to vote against him.

The claims reflect the APM camp’s political position ahead of the 2027 election and do not establish how voters in the listed states will eventually vote.
