FG To Arraign Mike Ozekhome Over Fraud
The Federal Government plans to arraign Senior Advocate of Nigeria Mike Ozekhome on Monday, January 26, 2026, over allegations linked to a disputed property in London.
The case will be heard at the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Maitama, Abuja, placing the senior lawyer at the centre of a high-profile legal battle.
The arraignment is expected to take place at Courtroom 4 by 9:00 a.m., with the Federal Republic of Nigeria listed as the complainant.
Prosecutors from the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission are handling the case, led by the head of its high-profile prosecution unit.
The charges against Ozekhome include alleged receipt of a property outside Nigeria, forgery, and the use of false documents. Prosecutors claim the offences were committed in 2021 and involve a London property said to be transferred under questionable circumstances.
The Attorney General of the Federation has already signalled that petitions against top lawyers are being reviewed, with assurances that disciplinary and criminal processes will be pursued where necessary to protect the integrity of the legal system.
