The Edo State Deputy Governor, Dennis Idahosa, has raised alarm over attempts by unnamed individuals to create tension between him and Governor Monday Okpebholo, insisting the move will not succeed.
He made this known in a personally signed statement released on Saturday, reacting to what he described as false stories being spread online to weaken the unity within the state’s leadership.
Idahosa said the alleged plot is driven by people unhappy with the strong working relationship between him and the governor, stressing that both leaders remain firmly aligned in purpose and direction.
He reaffirmed his loyalty to Governor Okpebholo, saying he fully supports the administration’s plans and remains committed to working with the governor for the progress of Edo State.
The deputy governor added that any effort to cause division within the government is already defeated, noting that unity within the leadership remains intact despite attempts to stir trouble.
