Two men abducted by Boko Haram and ISWAP fighters in Borno State have surfaced in a distress video as their captors demand a large ransom for their release.

One of the victims is Hassan Biu Miringa, a former vice chairman of Biu Local Government Area.
The abduction happened on December 17, 2025, while the victims were travelling from Miringa to Maiduguri.
