In Rivers State, the paramount ruler of Emohua Kingdom, Eze Ohna Sergeant Chidi Awuse, has openly praised the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, describing him as a reliable ally and a leader worthy of loyalty.

The remarks came during Wike’s Christmas visit to Rumuche community in Emohua Local Government Area.
The endorsement was made by the traditional ruler, who also serves as chairman of the South South Monarchs Forum, while addressing community members, chiefs and supporters who gathered to welcome the former Rivers governor to the area.
The visit took place in Emohua, where Wike has maintained strong political and social ties over the years. The monarch said the local government would continue to stand with Wike in future political and leadership decisions.

According to Awuse, Wike’s influence and support have brought repeated interventions to Emohua, earning him lasting goodwill from the people. He said the community had resolved to follow Wike’s political direction without hesitation.
The monarch also used the occasion to commend President Bola Tinubu, saying his economic policies had helped steady the naira and grow Nigeria’s foreign reserves. Drawing from his background in accounting and politics, Awuse said the economic indicators showed improvement.
He added that Wike’s work in Abuja under Tinubu’s administration had changed the capital in visible ways, urging the minister to ignore critics and remain focused. The ruler ended by thanking Wike for his yearly visits and continued support for Emohua communities.
