The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has dismissed the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a political refuge for disgruntled politicians who lost relevance in their former parties.

Speaking in an interview with LEADERSHIP on Friday, Katsina State PDP spokesperson, Lawal Kurfi, described the ADC as “a group of contestants who have lost political value.”

According to him, the party lacks genuine structure and is mainly populated by former ministers, governors, and appointees who joined after losing elections or government positions.

“This ADC is not a political party with real structure. Ninety percent of its members are people who left their original parties after losing out, hoping to find their way back through ADC,” Kurfi said.

He acknowledged that defections are common as elections draw closer but insisted that the PDP remains stronger at both the state and national levels.

“From the grassroots to the top, PDP is intact. Those in ADC are only political followers with no real base. They left because they lost value in their original parties,” he added.

Kurfi also accused ADC leaders of disrespecting prominent northern elders, saying such actions only further undermine the credibility of the party.
