There was uproar in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, on Tuesday after some policemen of Joint Task Force (JTF) allegedly chased some suspected internet fraudsters to death.
WazobiaReporters gathered that the suspected Yahoo boy, identified as Remi, and three others had an accident while being chased by men of Joint Task Force.
The accident occurred at the East bypass when the Toyota Corolla with registration number KUJ-553LY Abuja – conveying the suspected Yahoo boys veered off the road during the chase and hit electricity poll.
Three of the suspected yahoo boys were said to have died immediately in the accident while the fourth occupant of the car sustained serious injury.

It was gathered the suspects were being trailed by the police from the Osun Mall.
The situation sparked protest from some angry youths who blocked the Osogbo East bypass, Dele Yes Sir and Lameco roads in Osogbo.
According to reports, the protesting youths took Remi’s corpse to the entrance of the Government House where police officers shot sporadically in the air to chase them away.

The protesters also damaged a vehicle of the Nigeria Police at Oke-fia.
The situation disrupted free flow of traffic around Oke-Fia, Ola-Iya, Alekuwodo, Capital, Odi-Olowo axis.
Amidst rising tension, the Spokesperson of the police in Osun, Yemisi Opalola, who confirmed the incident added that the force is on top of the matter.
