The campaign council was established to coordinate the party’s activities in support of President Bola Tinubu and the APC governorship candidate in Lagos State, Femi Hamzat, ahead of the 2027 elections.

The inauguration also marked the formal start of the party’s statewide campaign activities in preparation for the elections.

Ojelabi urged all APC candidates to work closely with the campaign council and remain available for mobilisation and other campaign activities.

He directed the candidates not to travel outside Nigeria after the inauguration and until the general elections are concluded.

The party chairman also warned members against underestimating opposition parties, urging them to remain focused and work collectively towards the party’s electoral objectives.

He said the campaign would be taken to the grassroots through the party’s structures across the senatorial districts, local government areas, wards and polling units.

Ojelabi disclosed that the APC was targeting five million votes in Lagos State and would depend on coordinated grassroots mobilisation to pursue the target.

He also urged party members to conduct their campaigns peacefully and avoid actions that could lead to hatred, thuggery or violence during the election period.
