Troops Foil Bandits, Rescue Three Wounded Civilians

Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have rescued three wounded civilians after engaging suspected bandits along the Dampo-Rumba Road in Bakura Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

The operation reportedly took place on Friday after the troops encountered the armed group along the road.

According to security analyst Bakatsine, the troops responded to the attack, rescued the three injured civilians and secured the area following the encounter.

In a separate operation around Magami, the troops also recovered 117 cows believed to have been rustled, along with two donkeys, one goat and five cow skins.

The security operation extended to Tsafe Local Government Area, where troops reportedly recovered a Toyota Camry suspected to have been stolen by criminals.

The operations form part of ongoing efforts by security forces to tackle banditry, cattle rustling and other criminal activities across Zamfara State.

The report did not provide details on casualties among the suspected bandits or whether any arrests were made during the operations.
