National leader of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), Seriake Dickson, has said the party will overcome what he described as growing pressure from forces opposed to its progress.

His reaction followed a Federal High Court ruling in Lokoja that nullified an earlier order directing the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to register the party.

The court had set aside its previous judgment, raising fresh uncertainty over the NDC’s legal status.

The ruling came after the judge held that necessary parties were not involved before the earlier decision was delivered.

Reacting to the development, Dickson said the party was facing coordinated opposition from those unsettled by its growing influence.

He maintained that the challenge would not stop the movement or weaken its resolve ahead of future political activities.

The former Bayelsa State governor expressed confidence that the party would succeed despite the legal setback.

He said the NDC remained determined to pursue its objectives through lawful means and would emerge stronger from the dispute.
