Kwankwaso said areas such as Zamfara, Borno, Sokoto, Katsina, Kwara and Oyo have been heavily affected, adding that many citizens now live in fear as criminal groups operate more openly and with growing confidence, including online.

He called for stronger intelligence work, better welfare for security personnel, community policing and increased investment in social services like education, jobs and infrastructure, saying these steps are needed to address the root causes of insecurity.
