The party said elected officials who emerge on its platform must consult party structures before taking major decisions, including policy matters and appointments, except for personal staff.

It added that the party’s interests must always come before individual ambitions and that members are expected to align with its goals.

As part of efforts to improve internal governance, the NDC approved the creation of a code of conduct for party officials and candidates.

It also set up a National Reconciliation Committee to address grievances among members, while directing all affiliated groups and organisations to operate under the party’s supervision.

The party further introduced stricter financial rules, requiring candidates to disclose all campaign funds and contributions at every level.

According to the NDC, all campaign finances must pass through approved party accounts as it works to build a lasting political institution founded on transparency, accountability and internal democracy.
