APC Urges Tinubu’s Intervention in Lagos Primary Dispute

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress in Eti-Osa Constituency I have called on President Bola Tinubu and senior party leaders to step into a dispute over the House of Assembly primary election.

The group is made up of party officials, community leaders, youth and women groups, and residents of the area. They said there are moves to alter the outcome of the exercise.

They insisted the process should be allowed to stand as conducted.

The stakeholders maintained that the incumbent lawmaker, Noheem Adams, won the primary with a wide margin.

They stated that he secured 7,638 votes while his closest opponent, Saheed Bankole, received 1,225 votes. According to them, the result showed clear backing from party members across the constituency.

They urged the APC national leadership and Lagos State executives to accept the declared outcome.

They described Adams as a long-serving representative with strong community links in Eti-Osa. They noted his involvement in local projects, youth support efforts, and constituency services over the years.

They warned that attempts to alter the result could create tension within the party structure. They added that past internal disputes had affected party unity and performance.

Supporters of Adams had earlier gathered at the Eleganza Toll Gate to protest the situation.

They demanded that the primary election result be respected and maintained. They pointed to his years of service in the House since 2017 as proof of experience and consistency.

They appealed to Tinubu, the APC national leadership, and Lagos party officials to uphold what they described as the choice of party members.
