The Obidient Movement Worldwide has urged members of the Nigeria Democratic Congress to remain calm and united ahead of the party’s primary elections.

In a statement released on Thursday, National Coordinator Yunusa Tanko appealed to party members to avoid actions that could create division during the primaries.

He said political contests naturally produce winners and losers, but unity must remain the movement’s top priority.
Tanko explained that the movement’s main objective is securing Peter Obi’s place on the ballot for the 2027 election.
He warned that unnecessary disputes among members could weaken the party’s chances and distract from preparations for the national polls.
The group also encouraged aspirants to accept the outcome of the primaries peacefully and continue supporting the party afterward.
According to the movement, discipline and cooperation will be necessary if the NDC hopes to challenge strongly in the next general election.
