Crisis Will Make ADC Stronger – Chieftain
A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress in Edo, Fawaz Muhammad, has said internal disagreements will help strengthen the party as it prepares for future elections.
He spoke while pursuing a seat in the Edo State House of Assembly, describing the current situation as part of a growing process within the party.
He explained that the issues at both national and state levels centre on coordination, communication, inclusion and infiltration.
According to him, such challenges are common in developing political structures and must be handled with honesty and unity from grassroots to leadership level.
Muhammad also pointed to the role of the ruling All Progressives Congress, urging it to ensure a fair political space where opposition parties can operate freely.
He said democracy works best when there is room for strong opposition rather than pressure or interference.
He called on party members to focus on unity and responsibility as the ADC works through its internal issues.
