Wike Appoints Procurement Aide
In Abuja, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has appointed Alhaji Onsachi Musa Idris as Senior Special Assistant on Procurement.
The appointment was announced on Friday in an official statement. It takes effect immediately after his retirement from the civil service.
The move is part of efforts to strengthen administration in the FCT.
Idris retired on April 24 after serving as Director of Procurement in the Federal Capital Territory Administration. He previously held key roles, including Director of Common Services.
His career spans over three decades in public service. He has worked across administration, finance and procurement management.
According to the statement issued by Lere Olayinka, Idris played a major role in overseeing procurement processes.
He also ensured compliance with established regulations during his time in office. His experience is expected to support efficient service delivery.
The government sees his appointment as a step towards improved governance.
The FCT Administration said the new role will build on his past contributions. Authorities believe his expertise will strengthen procurement operations.
The appointment comes as part of ongoing administrative adjustments. Idris is expected to resume duties immediately.
