Wike Denies Blocking Eagle Square
The Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, has dismissed claims that any party was denied access to Eagle Square, saying no request was received.
He said the African Democratic Congress had not submitted any formal application for the venue.
Wike explained that access to Eagle Square follows due process through the Abuja Investments Company Limited, including payment of required fees.
He added that other parties like the APC and PDP followed the same procedure when they used public facilities.
He also clarified that the Moshood Abiola National Stadium Velodrome is not under his administration but managed by the sports authorities.
According to him, no group would be denied access if proper steps are followed.
During a project inspection in Abuja, Wike said major road works would be completed by May 15, with streetlights ready before month-end.
He also spoke on relocating traders to Wassa and confirmed repairs are ongoing at Kugbo Bus Terminal after wind damage.
