Sources said discussions focused on forming a united front to challenge Bola Tinubu in 2027, including talks on platform choice and power-sharing.

Key political figures such as Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi were part of the broader consultations.

However, the camp aligned with Nyesom Wike rejected claims of any formal alliance, insisting the party had not authorised such talks.

The faction maintained that any individuals involved acted on personal grounds and not on behalf of the PDP.

The development comes amid internal crises within both parties and controversy over actions by the Independent National Electoral Commission concerning ADC leadership.

As talks continue, opposition leaders appear divided on strategy while pushing for a stronger position ahead of the next general election.
