The position was made public by its National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, during a television appearance as political tensions build ahead of 2027.
He said the party is focused on defending Nigeria’s multi-party structure, warning that recent political moves could weaken democratic balance.
He linked the situation to shifting public sentiment and internal pressures within the ruling system.
Abdullahi also claimed that growing dissatisfaction among Nigerians is shaping new political alignments, adding that this could influence the next election cycle.
He suggested that current developments reflect concerns about public support for the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The party reaffirmed its readiness for the 2027 elections, stating that preparations are already underway. It said it would remain active in the race while bracing for possible political challenges in the coming years.
