The company said no official announcement was made regarding any increase, maintaining that the ex-gantry price remains unchanged.

The current rate follows a recent reduction in late March after earlier adjustments pushed prices higher within a short period.

An internal source described the reports of a ₦75 increase as false, noting that operations continue at the previously announced price.

The development comes amid public concern over fuel costs and market uncertainty.

Earlier, the refinery explained that petrol pricing is influenced by global factors such as crude oil costs, freight, and geopolitical tensions.

It added that these pressures continue to affect prices despite local refining, leaving consumers exposed to wider market conditions.
