The adjournment followed brief proceedings on Tuesday as his legal team prepared further responses.
Lawyer Ukpong Abang confirmed the delay after the session but gave no details, saying the defence was still working on filings.
After the hearing, El-Rufai was taken out of court by operatives of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission.
The case has drawn attention due to the corruption charges against the former Kaduna State leader, which include alleged misuse of public funds and money laundering.
He had earlier spent over a month in custody before being granted temporary release following his mother’s death.
On the same day, El-Rufai also appeared before a Kaduna State High Court on a separate case involving allegations of fraud and abuse of office.
The charges are different from those before the Federal High Court.
With the latest development, the court is expected to continue hearing his bail application on Wednesday.
