His move follows recent meetings with key political figures, including Atiku Abubakar.

Discussions are ongoing between Kwankwaso’s camp and Obi’s allies over a potential joint presidential ticket.

Both sides confirmed that talks have progressed, with growing support for a united opposition front.

Allies say there is increasing public interest in a possible partnership.

Kwankwaso said his decision to leave the NNPP was driven by the need for political realignment, adding that he is seeking a platform that offers a better chance to shape Nigeria’s future.

While no final agreement has been reached, insiders say the talks could reshape opposition politics, as parties consider forming broader alliances ahead of the next general election.
