The unrest has built up over months, with many now abandoning their homes.

The protest took place across the community as residents marched with placards calling for urgent help.

They said insecurity has worsened for about eight months, with little response from authorities. Many families have already fled, while others are preparing to leave if the situation continues.

Residents said they organised the protest to draw attention to their suffering and push for action from the government and security agencies.

They described a situation where armed groups operate freely, attacking and abducting people almost daily, leaving the town nearly empty.

They urged the state government and security forces to act fast to restore safety and stop further displacement.

According to them, without urgent intervention, the community and nearby areas could soon be completely deserted as fear continues to drive people away.
