Chairman of the caretaker committee, Abdulrahman Mohammed, described the convention as a turning point, saying the party has made progress in resolving internal issues through dialogue and legal processes.

He added that recent congresses across the country were largely peaceful and showed the party’s commitment to democracy.

The leadership urged members to remain united and disciplined, stressing that the party must act with transparency as it prepares for the convention.

It also praised Nyesom Wike for his role in stabilising the party during challenging times.

Board of Trustees chairman Mao Ohuabunwa called for fairness and unity, especially on zoning decisions, while other leaders including Abba Moro and Kingsley Chinda urged members to stay committed as the party prepares to reshape its leadership and direction.
