Former Jigawa governor Sule Lamido has dismissed claims that he was invited by Bola Tinubu or leaders of the All Progressives Congress to join the party, describing the reports as speculation.

Lamido said he was unaware of any such invitation, questioning the basis of the claims and insisting he heard about them for the first time during the interview.

He also dismissed rumours linking him to the African Democratic Congress, attributing the reports to social media fabrications.
Despite this, the Peoples Democratic Party chieftain said he is open to meeting the president if the opportunity arises, noting that such engagement would be driven by national interest rather than politics.
He stressed the need for dialogue focused on solving Nigeria’s challenges and promoting unity, urging leaders to act in the country’s best interest.
Lamido also called on Nigerians to reflect on their electoral choices, saying leadership outcomes are shaped by the decisions of voters.
