Wike Backs Tinubu Ahead Of 2027
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has said it will be difficult for opposition parties to defeat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 elections in Abuja.
Wike made the remark on Tuesday after inspecting projects across satellite towns, where he pointed to ongoing infrastructure development as a major factor boosting public support for the president.
He said improvements in roads and other facilities have had a direct impact on residents, which could influence voting patterns in the next general election.
According to the minister, many people in the FCT are already seeing changes in their daily lives, making it harder for any rival candidate to gain ground.
The statement comes as political activities begin to gather pace ahead of the 2027 elections, with parties positioning for key contests across the country.
