Wike Praises Tinubu Infrastructure Push

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has assured residents of Abuja that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains committed to improving living conditions through ongoing infrastructure projects.

Wike gave the assurance on Wednesday while inspecting road projects across satellite towns, including the Bwari–Kubwa axis.

He said the administration’s focus is to extend development beyond the city centre to rural communities.

According to him, several communities are experiencing major infrastructure for the first time, with road projects expected to boost economic activities and ease movement.

He noted that improved road networks would significantly reduce travel time between satellite towns and the city centre.

The minister also claimed that the level of development under the current administration has strengthened public support, adding that it would be difficult for any opposition to defeat the President in the FCT in the 2027 elections.

Wike expressed satisfaction with the pace of work, stating that some projects would be completed and commissioned as part of activities marking the President’s upcoming anniversary in office.

On concerns about real estate developers, he dismissed calls for a new regulatory body, insisting that existing agencies are sufficient to handle complaints and enforce compliance with planning regulations.

He urged residents to support the government and pray for the President, stressing that national development requires unity and collective effort.
