The initiative was announced by the Nigerian Consumer Credit Corporation, which said the programme allows eligible customers to book local flights and pay in installments over time.

According to the agency, the scheme is designed to remove the burden of upfront ticket costs, which often prevent many Nigerians from making important trips.

The programme is being implemented in partnership with MyVisaro and Alert Microfinance Bank, as part of efforts to expand access to consumer credit.

Interested applicants can apply through the Visaro platform to book flights across various destinations in the country.

CREDICORP said the move aligns with its broader goal of promoting financial inclusion and improving access to essential services through credit solutions.

The development comes amid rising domestic airfares, driven by factors such as increased aviation fuel costs and foreign exchange challenges, which have made air travel less accessible for many Nigerians.
