PDP Urges End To Court Battles
The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party has urged members to end internal legal disputes and focus on rebuilding the party ahead of the 2027 general election.
The call was made during the 86th meeting of the Board of Trustees held in Abuja.
The Chairman of the National Caretaker Committee, Abdulrahman Mohammed, said recent court rulings on the party’s leadership should serve as a turning point for members to move past litigation and work towards unity.
Party elders also used the meeting to outline the next steps in the PDP’s internal process, including state congresses and preparations for the national convention scheduled for March 29 and 30.
Board of Trustees Chairman Mao Ohuabunwa described the moment as a critical phase for the party and urged leaders to approach discussions with calm judgement while protecting the values and structure of the PDP.
