The recommendation followed concerns raised over the fate of families affected by the clearance of the settlements.
Lawmakers said the proposal aims to provide a new place for the displaced residents to settle while the government continues efforts to reorganise waterfront areas in the state.
The move came after discussions on the humanitarian impact of the demolition exercise.
According to the Assembly, the relocation to Agbowa could help reduce the hardship faced by families who lost homes and livelihoods during the demolition of the waterfront structures.
The lawmakers urged the state government to consider the recommendation and work out arrangements that will support the affected residents while maintaining urban planning and environmental safety across Lagos.
