Kano Assembly Impeachment Move Sparks NNPP Outrage

Fresh tension has erupted in Kano after the State House of Assembly began impeachment proceedings against Deputy Governor Aminu Abdulsalam over allegations of misconduct, abuse of office and breach of public trust.

The move was announced during Thursday’s plenary in Kano and has drawn criticism from political groups linked to the New Nigeria Peoples Party.

The impeachment notice was presented by Majority Leader Lawan Husseini Dala and read by Speaker Ismail Falgore.
