ADC Members And Supporters Storms Court
Members and supporters of the African Democratic Congress gathered on Thursday at the Federal High Court in Abuja to stage a peaceful protest over a case involving their party.
The demonstration took place just before a scheduled hearing linked to the ADC before Justice Joyce Abdulmalik.
The protesters demanded that the judge step aside from handling cases related to the party and other opposition groups.
They claimed they no longer had confidence in her ability to preside over the matter.
During the protest, participants held placards carrying messages such as “Judiciary Should Not Destroy Our Democracy”, “Recuse Yourself, You Are Bias”, and “We Have No Confidence in You”.
The group used the demonstration to draw public attention to their concerns about the ongoing case.
The protest remained calm as security officials monitored the situation around the court premises while the hearing was expected to proceed.
