An abducted member of the National Youth Service Corps, identified as Abba, is believed to have been killed by bandits despite his family paying a ransom of ₦10 million for his release.

The corps member was kidnapped earlier by armed men, who later contacted his relatives and demanded money before setting him free.

His family eventually gathered the funds and paid the ransom in the hope that he would regain his freedom.

After the payment was made, the abductors reportedly stopped communication, raising fears among relatives and those close to the victim.
