Governor Fubura Credits Wike for His Rise
Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has credited his political journey to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
He made the remark while receiving an award, pointing to the role Wike played in shaping his path to leadership.
Speaking at the event, Fubara said, “Wike discovered me, and it gave me this loudness”.
He noted that the former governor’s support brought him into the spotlight and strengthened his voice in public service.
He described the recognition as a shared honour, saying his emergence would not have happened without Wike’s backing.
According to him, the guidance and opportunity he received laid the foundation for his current position.
Fubara then dedicated the award to Wike, expressing appreciation for the trust placed in him and pledging to remain focused on serving the people of Rivers State.
