President Bola Tinubu will leave Abuja on Monday for a state visit to Türkiye, marking another step in Nigeria’s growing foreign engagements. The trip is expected to deepen ties between both countries and build on existing diplomatic relations.

The visit comes as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation between Nigeria and Türkiye in key areas such as security, education, social development, innovation and aviation. It also serves as a follow-up to the earlier visit by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Nigeria in 2021.

President Tinubu will be accompanied by top government officials, including ministers, security chiefs and lawmakers involved in defence and foreign affairs. He is expected to return to Nigeria after concluding the visit.
