The move was made public in Sokoto at a meeting with supporters, where Gada explained that his decision followed what he described as stalled leadership and uncertainty within the African Democratic Congress after months of internal ожидation.

Gada blamed former governor Aminu Tambuwal for what he called a lack of direction, saying both men were once seen as joint leaders of the ADC in the state.

According to Gada, doubts grew as Tambuwal allegedly failed to openly align with the ADC while engaging other political interests.

You cannot be talking to APC on one hand, being promoted as a vice-presidential option for Peter Obi on the other, and still refuse to register or allow your followership to register in ADC, he alleged.

This level of contradiction is not partnership for progress. He said the situation left the party drifting and forced him to return to the PDP.

Supporters at the gathering welcomed Gada’s declaration, with party loyalists urging women and young voters to rally behind his 2027 ambition.

We should give him total support to become the next governor, one speaker said, calling on newly eligible youths to register for voter cards. However, the PDP state publicity secretary rejected the announcement, saying the party had no record of Gada’s return.

We are not aware of his coming to PDP. Nobody received him, not even in his ward or local government, he said, adding that his name was absent from party records as political manoeuvring continues.
