Wike Announces Major Appointment
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has appointed Sani Musa Daura as his Senior Special Assistant on Protocol Matters.
Daura, a long-serving civil servant, brings over 30 years of experience from the FCTA Protocol Department. He previously served as Director of FCT Protocol, a position he assumed in 2019.
The appointment is timed to coincide with his upcoming retirement from the civil service on January 24, 2026. He will officially begin his new role immediately after leaving the civil service.
Officials described the move as a continuation of Daura’s expertise in protocol and administration, ensuring a smooth transition and ongoing support for the Minister’s engagements.
Observers say the appointment reinforces the FCTA’s focus on experienced personnel in key advisory roles, particularly in protocol and official duties.
