FG Opens Portal For Technical College Admissions

The Federal Government has opened the application portal for admission into Federal Technical Colleges (FTCs) across the country.

The Federal Ministry of Education said registration for the National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) will begin on January 26, 2026, and end on May 24, 2026, while the examination will be held nationwide on June 6, 2026.

Applications must be completed through the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) online portal.


Admission is open to candidates aged 13 to 20 years. Applicants are required to possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN), which is mandatory for successful registration.


The Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa, said technical education in FTCs is fully funded, adding that the initiative is aimed at equipping young Nigerians with practical skills, promoting self-reliance and boosting national productivity.
