NYSC Releases Information on Batch A Posting
The National Youth Service Corps has released deployment details for 2026 Batch A Stream 1 prospective corps members, marking the next step ahead of the orientation exercise scheduled to begin nationwide.
The update was announced on Monday through the scheme’s official X page, where it confirmed that call-up letters are now available for download by registered candidates.
Some corps members posted to Lagos State and the Federal Capital Territory will attend orientation camps in nearby states due to space limits. Those deployed to Lagos will report to camps in Ekiti, Kwara, Ondo, Ogun and Osun, while those posted to the FCT will be received in Kaduna, Niger and Nasarawa.
The decision was taken because available camps cannot host all registered participants at once, with the scheme noting that less than half of prospective corps members can be accommodated for the coming exercise.
The NYSC also issued safety and documentation reminders, advising participants to avoid night travel and complete all required forms before arrival. It warned that corps members with record inconsistencies or unresolved issues would not be registered, as the orientation programme is set to begin on January 21.
