Members of the All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State have been called upon to take part in the party’s ongoing national electronic registration as preparations for future elections gather pace.
The call was made on Tuesday in Ado Ekiti by the state coordinator of the exercise and Commissioner for Youth Development, Gold Adesola Adedayo, during a meeting with senatorial coordinators and local government supervisors.
He said the registration, backed by the party’s national leadership, is aimed at building a strong and reliable membership database that reflects the party’s true support base across the state.
The exercise is scheduled to run daily from 8am to 6pm in all 177 wards, targeting members aged 18 and above who possess valid voter cards and National Identification Numbers.
Adedayo urged party officials at the grassroots to mobilise members and ensure the process runs smoothly, noting that trained ward agents have been deployed to guide participants and address any concerns.
He added that the registration is key to strengthening the party’s structure ahead of the June 20 governorship election and the 2027 polls, describing active participation as a show of loyalty to the APC.
Also speaking, Ekiti APC chairman Sola Elesin, who has already registered, encouraged members to follow suit, saying the exercise will improve internal organisation and position the party strongly for upcoming elections.
