IBEDC Announces Partial Blackout In Ibadan Over Road Work

The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) has announced a partial power outage in parts of Ibadan, Oyo State, due to ongoing road construction.

In a statement on Tuesday, the company said about 22 communities will experience electricity interruption of about three hours daily for a period of seven days.
IBEDC explained that the outage is linked to road construction along Foodco Road and Idi Isin axis of Ibadan, which has made it necessary to relocate some of its power facilities and assets in the area.

“Due to the ongoing road construction along Foodco Road, Idi Isin, Ibadan, IBEDC facilities and assets are being relocated,” the company said.
The electricity distribution company appealed to affected residents for understanding, assuring them that power supply would be restored promptly after the relocation work is completed.
