The meeting came about a week after Tinubu left Nigeria for his end-of-year break, ahead of scheduled international engagements in the Middle East later in January.
The discussion focused on world affairs and how African countries can better protect their shared interests on the global stage. Both leaders exchanged views on cooperation and continental progress.

The talks also reflected the steady relationship between Nigeria and Rwanda, which has grown through regular high-level meetings, diplomatic support, and joint participation in international forums.
The meeting was held in an informal setting, allowing both leaders to speak freely as they continue efforts to strengthen Africa’s voice in global decision-making.
