The list was made public on Monday at INEC’s office in Ado Ekiti and shows 12 political parties cleared to contest the election, along with the names of their governorship candidates and running mates.
Among those cleared are candidates from the APC, Labour Party, NNPP, AAC, ADC, ADP, Accord Party, APM, APP, PRP, YPP and ZLP, with Governor Biodun Oyebanji flying the APC ticket.

Oluyede’s absence has drawn attention because he emerged winner of the PDP primary held in November 2025, where he defeated his closest rival, Funso Ayeni, after securing the highest number of votes.
INEC’s decision is linked to the ongoing leadership crisis within the PDP, which has divided the party into two opposing camps loyal to different national leaders and governors.
The electoral body had earlier said it would not recognise changes in the PDP leadership or accept nominations from the party until all court cases tied to its disputed national convention are resolved, effectively shutting the PDP out of the Ekiti race for now.
