Residents of the Federal Capital Territory can now report uncleared refuse as the FCTA moves to tackle growing waste across Abuja and nearby areas.
The action comes after complaints about overflowing dumps and delays by waste contractors, raising concerns about health and the environment.
The Federal Capital Territory Administration made the move through the office of the FCT Minister, with the announcement shared by Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka.
Residents are expected to send reports using WhatsApp by sharing clear pictures or videos of refuse that has not been evacuated.
Each report should include the exact location of the refuse so the responsible contractor can be identified and held accountable.
The FCTA provided four phone numbers for this purpose: 08038643087, 07011073406, 07011255710 and 09114843425, urging residents to use them to keep the city clean.
