Dufil Prima Foods has responded to reports linking Indomie noodles in Nigeria to a recent safety alert issued by NAFDAC, saying the affected product is not sold or made in the country.

The company said the alert refers to Indomie Vegetable Flavour, a variant it does not produce or distribute in Nigeria, stressing that such a product does not exist in its local range.
The clarification followed public confusion after NAFDAC issued a precautionary notice about a recalled noodle product, which Dufil said was linked to items withdrawn earlier in August and not connected to Nigerian-made Indomie.

Dufil explained that all Indomie noodles produced in Nigeria are made under strict quality checks and meet all NAFDAC rules, assuring consumers that the products remain safe to eat.
The company also pointed out that images circulating online show packaging that does not match Indomie Nigeria’s approved branding and labels, warning the public to be careful.
Dufil added that importing noodles into Nigeria is banned by law and urged consumers and media outlets to rely on official updates and clearly separate locally produced Indomie from foreign products.
