Seven construction workers abducted in Kwara State are being held by suspected kidnappers who are demanding a ransom of N500 million for their release.

The workers were taken from Oba community in Isin Local Government Area while carrying out duties on an active construction project, an incident that has left families and residents shaken.

Family sources confirmed that the kidnappers later contacted them and insisted that the full ransom must be paid before the victims would be freed, increasing fear over the workers’ safety.
Among those abducted are staff members linked to a government project, including workers attached to the Kwara State Ministry of Works, raising wider concerns about security around public infrastructure sites.
